Paying for a wedding
Weddings are paid by Pay by Bank, straight from your bank. Stripe holds the money until the wedding has happened.
- When you bookA deposit: our booking fee plus 25% of the act’s price and travel.
- 90 days beforeThe balance is due. You get 7 days to pay and a reminder, or pay it sooner from the booking.
- The weddingThe act confirms they’re coming from 48 hours before. Their number shows on the booking once they have.
- After the weddingThe act is paid. Nothing more to do.
Booking 90 days ahead or less? You pay it all when you book. A single payment over £10,000 can’t be paid online in one go, so email support@packedout.co.uk and we’ll split it.

Our booking fee isn’t refunded, except when you cancel within an hour of booking. Need a different date? You can move the wedding once, at no cost, if the act is free and accepts.

Questions
Can couples book through Packed Out?
Not directly. The venue makes the booking. If you’re planning your wedding, ask your venue to book through us.
What do acts see before they offer?
The timings from the ceremony to carriages, plus roughly how many guests. The contact on the day and the first dance show once they’re booked.
Can we book more than one act for the day?
Yes. Book a singer for the ceremony, a band for the evening and a DJ to finish, all for the same date.
How far ahead can we book?
Weddings can be booked up to 18 months ahead.
What does it cost?
Each act sets its own wedding prices. Our fee is 15% on top, never more than £50.
What if we need to change the date?
You can move the wedding once, at no cost, if the act is free and accepts.
What if the balance isn’t paid?
We remind you and ask again. If it’s still not paid we may cancel the booking, always with 7 days’ warning. The act keeps the deposit part and our fee isn’t refunded.
What if an act cancels?
You choose: we find you someone at the same price or less, you pick from new offers, or you get everything back, fee included.
Are the acts checked?
Yes. Every act is checked before they can take a booking. For weddings, public liability insurance is asked for by default.
